My name is Don Johnston. I'm a computer networking consultant and contract instructor on Cisco Systems networking equipment. I've been flying since 1998 when I got my private pilots license. I live in northern Illinois with my wife and son. I can honestly say that nearly every good thing that has happened in my life is a result of them. Also living with us are two dogs (Labrador Retrievers) and a cat.
Update: The cat died on Saturday, December 1st. We found out she a had cancerous growth in the spring and we had it removed. The prognosis was "guarded" and we were hopeful. In mid November she took a rather quick turn for the worse and we had to make the decision to have her put to sleep.
I've always been mechanically inclined. I have no real formal training in anything. I'm just somehow able to figure things out. In addition to having "the knack", I also have the ability of know exactly where I am and how to get where I'm going. My wife figures I'm either part loggerhead turtle or that I have some sort of guidey chippy thingy buried in my head. I don't understand any of these things, I've just always had them
Next: The project begins. |
