So I&#8217;m going to use a &#8220;Millin Shelf&#8221;. Named after Andy Millin because his is the first one I had seen. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>First I made some brackets that are attached to the sides of the fuselage with structural adhesive and rivets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-13-IMG_20131004_191130_021a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1445\" alt=\"2013-10-13 IMG_20131004_191130_021a\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-13-IMG_20131004_191130_021a-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then two pieces of 1&#8243;x1&#8243; aluminum angle stock are used to create the structure of the shelf.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_085102_785a.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1440\" alt=\"2013-10-04 IMG_20131004_085102_785a\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_085102_785a-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_085127_300.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1441\" alt=\"2013-10-04 IMG_20131004_085127_300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_085127_300-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally, a single sheet of aluminum is used to finish the shelf. Most of the devices will attach to the frame members so the aluminum sheet is used to bridge the frame members for smaller devices.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_142645_067.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1442\" alt=\"2013-10-04 IMG_20131004_142645_067\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_142645_067-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_142731_687.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-1443\" alt=\"2013-10-04 IMG_20131004_142731_687\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/2013-10-04-IMG_20131004_142731_687-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once all the parts were assembled, I removed the shelf and began mounting the devices.
