The guides are made by creating flat, 1\/8&#8243; thick layups and letting them cure. Then cutting them out and attaching them to create the guides.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Once the layups cured, I cut out the guides and supports for the left and right.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/2008-04-06-0843-IMG_6714.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2208\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/2008-04-06-0843-IMG_6714-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"2008-04-06 0843 IMG_6714\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Then the supports are attached to the guides with 5-minute epoxy. When that sets up 2 BID layups are used to permanently attach the supports to the guides.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/2008-04-06-0849-IMG_6715.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2209\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/2008-04-06-0849-IMG_6715-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"2008-04-06 0849 IMG_6715\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/2008-04-06-1004-IMG_6717.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-2211\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/2008-04-06-1004-IMG_6717-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"2008-04-06 1004 IMG_6717\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Once those layups cure, they&#8217;re trimmed and then the guides are fitted to the opening in the nose with 5-minute epoxy.
