And the components aren&#8217;t all assembled with locking nuts. So now it&#8217;s time for the final assembly.<\/p>\n<p>While I was getting ready to finish the rudder pedals, Malcolm (ever the perfectionist) pointed out something. This is the top of the master cylinder for the co-pilot side, right rudder pedal. It is attached with a long bolt and (right to left) a locking nut, washer, top of master cylinder, three washers and the rudder pedal arm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/DSC_0090.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-596\" title=\"DSC_0090\" src=\"https:\/\/www.velocity-xl.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/DSC_0090-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is how the manual says how to do it. So it&#8217;s right. Right?<\/p>\n<p>Well that big gap at the top? Not&#8230; optimal. And those THREE washers between the arm and master cylinder? A flat surface (washer) up against a curved surface?
